Newest Family Member!
Nana and Grumpy bought us a dog! It lives with them but if you ask the kids, it's theirs. Monet is the most darling dog and man...makes me want a dog so bad! She is so sweet. I guess we'll be spending lots of time at Nana and Grumpys!!

American Girl No Kid Hungry Bake Sale
Eliza read about a bake sale/contest in the American Girl magazine. She was sold. By participating she was in the running for her very own American Girl doll. She baked everything herself, set up her table, organized the money, and sold the items. She did fabulous! I am so proud of her hard work. It was most rewarding when she was reading the directions on how to turn the money in and she read that $1 feeds a hungry child for 1 day. She counted the dollars and said, I fed 100 kids! She had stopped caring about the doll and other things and was more concerned about the good that she was doing. It was a rewarding activity for the whole family. I am so grateful my kids got to look outside of themselves!

Lesson Learned!
I am sure it is the first of many arguments we will have over clothes...and what a way to start them! The girls were arguing over a shirt, under the whole house fan, and it slurped it right up! I used my mad planking skills and was able to get the shirt back. Let's hope that this doesn't lead to more adventures in the attic because the girls figured out how to get something to disappear!

Violet's Candyland Birthday Bash
We pulled off a Candyland Birthday party for Violet. Xander helped with the decorations:
Nana helped with the poster! Amazing as always
I got the cake put together without too many problems
First thing we did was make paper gingerbread men...then we passed lifesavers on our sticks.......
we did pudding painting...it's always fun to see which kids will do this and which ones wont!
Violet's group of friends...she is surrounded by wonderful people and we are so blessed to call these kiddos our friends!
We had lots of fun at the party!

#5!
We celebrated Violet with donuts, Chick-fil-A and a dog that barks and walks on its leash. Violet is such a happy girl and we are so lucky to call her ours! She is a master of disappearing when asked to help but she is a great big sister to Abby. She is learning to ready and loves going to preschool.

These are the Moments
My kids argue. They argue a lot. But there are moments...like this one that I luckily caught. Xander was waiting for his ride and Eliza decided to spend some time with him. Sometimes they are so wonderful! But I love them still the same!
