For the first time in our married life (that's 6 years) we spent Thanksgiving with Ben's siblings. Mom & Dad Webster took us all to Fort Bragg, California for a week-long get-away. Our little family arrived first on Monday to a beautiful coastal storm that killed our electricity. Thanks to the neighbor that brought us a lantern! The rest of the family trickled in Tuesday & Wednesday. We spent many days at the beach, played at the house and shopped in Mendocino.

One day, the big kids and the dads (+ Serena, lucky girl) got to go and explore a sink hole. Xander got to be a big kid. But as Ben likes to describe it-the activity was above Xander's pay grade. But he did great and he had so much fun! He loved the climbing and exploring the cave and running from the waves.

Lots of cousin time! We set up camp for all the kids in the master bedroom of the house and 8 of the 10 kids slept there. And surprisingly-they slept SO well! I couldn't believe it. Eliza loved sleeping with the big girls and being friends with her awesome big cousins. Violet stayed with us and we got a few hours of sleep each night--but we learned she does not care for the pack and play. :)

Ben & I were able to sneak away for an anniversary date and fulfill one of my dreams: a horse back ride on the beach. It was SO fun! I rode on Rocky and Ben rode on Poncho. It was a 90 min ride. I've ridden one other time in my life and have wanted to do it again--and I seriously LOVED it! It was so beautiful & peaceful and relaxing. I didn't feel saddle sore until about 24 hours after the ride but it was so worth it. Horses are such amazing creatures and while riding we saw a buck, seals and a starfish. I love partaking in some of God's amazing creations!
