Swim has been fun though and the kids are doing well. Eliza is to a point where if she fell in, she would know what to do--and that is seriously comforting to me. Xander swam the whole pool without stopping this past week and I couldn't be more happy. I had to snap a picture this week though because Eliza looked so adorable in my swim cap...

Swim Lessons
Typically I prefer not to do more than one extra curricular activity per kid at a time. But I desperately need these two silly kids to be completely water safe before swim season hits--having 2 kids unsafe last year was AWFUL and so the thought of having 3 unsafe was unbearable. And my Groupon deal for swim lessons overlapped deadlines with the ballet one and since I procrastinated--we have been a taxi lately between these two!

Ballet
Eliza started ballet (thank you Living Social!) this month. I'll spare you the details on my real impressions that first day (I just really don't fit in sometimes!) but the class went well. The teacher was impressed and asked where Eliza had done ballet before. Secretly in my head, I started singing...Bella, Bella, Bella dancerella...

Snow Trip 2012
Xander and Eliza have really wanted to go to the snow this year. But we know that the best snow is in Utah. So, one Thursday afternoon we packed up and drove to Utah. Ok, it was not for the snow! It was because my awesome nephew Ryan was getting baptized. But since Utah got it's biggest dump of snow from the storm we followed...

What a whirlwind weekend though. We decided to go the Tuesday before. I called Mrs. Laura Hobson and she said we could stay with her. I did NOT tell my sister we were coming and we just showed up in her house on Friday. It was so fun. My kids picked up where they left off with their Felix cousins in November and it was awesome to see. It was really cool to see Laura and her 4 kids too--we haven't seen each other in 4 years (that was 3 children ago). And our boys (who are the same age) totally hit it off. We also got to see the Robbie & Lindsay Thoreson and meet Officer Rodriguez. Who would've thought that a deserted road in between Eagle Mountain "the Ranches" and Eagle Mountain "City Center was 40 mph? ReallY!? That's ridiculous. Thankfully, he offered to give us a lecture instead of a ticket. But even though Ben was driving--I got the lecture. Why? Because Ben said he was going that fast because of our misbehaving child in the back (no names mentioned-but really Eliza putting boogers on your brother is NOT nice) and the officer said that it was my job to deal with that and NOT Ben's. Thanks Ben. I failed as a co-pilot. But we had lots of fun and the drives weren't too bad. Violet got to fly home with my folks because she is not 2 yet so we were down one on the way home. I'm super glad we made it and glad that we could be at Ryan's baptism..
