Saturdays

We had early basketball games so we took advantage of the beautiful weather and rode over to the City Zoo!  And yes, I made the boys recreate an old picture.  They thought I was crazy:

I can't believe its almost been a decade!

And then theres this little one. She had her very own sleepover with Nana and Grumpy.  She packed herself and met us at church the next day.  CRAZY!  She was such a good girl and had so much fun.

Walking

Aren't rainbows suppose to come after rain?  I sure wish we had had rain but for some odd reason, this week we have seen lots of rainbows without rain.  I guess God is still thinking about us even when their isn't any rain!

Because of lack of rain, and the abnormal warm temperatures, our flowers are already in full bloom...in January!  Crazy!

Sometimes it just works!

These two are like fire and ice most of the time...so when they get along, life is GOOD!
We played a fun game while we waited for our food.  I drew one picture and then the next person had to add to it...the kids got really into it!  And it took just enough time to go around the table 3 times
Abby went to check on Violet in the bathroom, the restaurant was serenaded with, "Do You Want to Build a Snowman."  It was hilarious!

Art with Friends

I have always wondered what this would be like!  So glad Catherine invited me.  Too bad I had completely lost my voice.  Ah well, it was fun and I think I'd actually do it again some day!

All in a Wednesday...

Teaching Abby's Preschool started off our day!
And then an emergency helicopter took over our park and so we got to meet the crew and check it out!
Then a quick trip to cello lessons and then the Pinewood Derby!
Xander did his entire car.  It didn't do all that well.  He is already making plans for next year!
Wednesdays are super busy around here...but we can do it!

Xander is LOVING basketball this year!  Grumpy was able to score some tickets for his team to see the Kings...it was one of the most exciting games of the season!

this was an example of what it could look like with white cabinets...which is what we want!

It's getting real!!!

Neighborhood Fun!

Love having a neighborhood of friends!  Although I'm not sure that starting a fire is the best thing that they can do... :)

Foot Golf!

I picked up a Foot Golf groupon and we finally made it to the course to play.  We took some of Bens siblings and some friends and had a blast!  It was beautiful afternoon (as you can see) and even those of us who don't know how to play soccer had a great time.  After we played 9 holes, we did the only thing ever responsible Webster does and stopped at Chicken and Ribs for dinner.  OH MY!  It was so yummy!  It was a great date!

Birthday Party #7 for Eliza

Eliza chose to have a Nancy Clancy Super Sleuth Party
--Spy Meets Fancy--
(Nancy Clancy is fancy Nancy all grown up)

Welcome to the Case of the Missing Ring!

We opted for simple cupcakes with ring pops.
Decoration was simple--I pulled out a bunch of my French prints and added in some French words that we learned throughout the party
Just after the girls arrived, The Great Aunt Emily called and sent the girls on a scavenger hunt for an heirloom ring that the Queen herself gave her and she conveniently left for Eliza!
Finding more clues...

The ring was found and there was one for all!  The girls were excited for these "real" fake rings.
Lots of the girls dressed up as super sleuths...
Pin the key on nancy clancy!  Thanks Nana for the poster!
Each of the girls had to use their super memory to draw a picture of the great Aunt Emily.  I think this was my favorite part of the party.  The girls took it very seriously.  A couple were really baffled trying to think of what they remembered or didn't.  They were very concerned because they couldn't remember her pants...I had to remind them that they didn't see her pants. :)

Eliza had a superb time and I think the other kids did too!

Happy #7 Eliza!

The fun never ends!  As soon as we got the Christmas things put away we whipped up a birthday fit for our princess!  Eliza started the day with our traditional doughnut--although she opted for a pain au chocolat.  She wanted curly hair for the day so please excuse the curlers!!

Look at this gorgeous girl!  What are we going to do with her?  I think we are going to have to lock her away.
The last couple of years I have volunteered to help my kids celebrate Dia de los Reyes-which happens to fall on Eliza's birthday.  This year Eliza got the bean and was crowned with her friend.
Right after being crowned, Ms. Kirk helped the class sing to our little lady!

And then Daddy showed up and we all got to eat lunch together.  It was a super fun day!  And we are super grateful for Eliza in our family.  Eliza is "sun and rain, she's fire and ice, a little crazy..."  She is a super creative young lady who loves to lead.  She works hard in school and loves math and spelling.  She loves to teach her sisters and it makes my heart swell when Abby & Violet show me a new trick and when asked where they learned said trick they respond, Oh Eliza taught me.  She is constantly building classrooms, making homework packets and guiding whoever will listen.  She is also always full of craft ideas.  She loves to cut, glue, color and build.  It is going to be so fun to see where she goes because she is unstoppable!

Eliza & Dia

These two cuties are 1 year and 1 day apart...but they are a lot alike too. :)  And we like to make sure we celebrate these girls.

For fun:

Primary 2015

The beginning of the new year means new classes and teachers in Primary.  This year is a special one though because Abby graduated from the nursery and will now go with the big kids to Primary!  We got all dolled up for the occasion:
